Each member of our school community is expected to dress appropriately for active learning in an elementary school setting. We ask that staff and students not wear clothing with inappropriate print, short shorts, shorts dress and skirts, spaghetti straps, halter-tops, bare tummies and backs. We encourage dressing for self-respect and respect for others.
- Dress appropriately for the weather and for learning. Outdoor winter activities often require snow pants, warm coats, mitts, and head wear. Please ensure your children are appropriately dressed for inclement weather when participating in both indoor and outdoor gym activities, bussing and field trips.
- Footwear – All students are required to have a pair of running shoes to be left at school. These indoor shoes are worn each day and should have non-marking soles. The children will need indoor shoes that they are able to put on and take off independently. Students are required to take off their outdoor shoes upon entering the building and carry these to their classroom.
- Please have your child’s clothing labeled. Coats, hats, shoes and boots, and backpacks are often similar in each class. If your child’s name is written inside, less confusion will occur. The children also need a backpack big enough to be able to carry their library books, snacks, important papers and artwork.
