Attendance

It is important that you call the school if your child is going to be absent or late. Please report all absences to the Attendance Line at 403-777-6070. See more on our Attendance page.

School Hours

Grades 1 – 6  

  • Monday - Thursday: 8:30am - 3:00pm (Entry bell at 8:27am)
  • Friday: 8:30am - 12:35pm (Entry bell at 8:27am)
  • Recess (all grades): Monday - Thursday: 10:30 - 10:44; Friday - flexible time
  • Lunch Grade 1 to 4: Monday - Thursday 12:00 - 12:43; Friday - flexible snack time
  • Lunch Grade 5 & 6: Monday - Thursday: 12:21 - 1:04; Friday - flexible snack time

Kindergarten

  • AM Kindergarten: Monday - Thursday: 8:30am - 11:20am; alternating Friday mornings 8:30am - 12:35pm
  • PM Kindergarten: Monday - Thursday: 12:10pm - 3:00pm; alternating Friday mornings 8:30am - 12:35pm

Outside Supervision of Students

  • Outside supervision of students begins at 8:15am.  Please do not drop your child off at school before 8:15am as there will be no adult supervision before this time. 

Office Hours

The school office is open from 8am - 3:30pm Monday to Thursday and until 3pm on Fridays.  The school office is closed during spring break (1 week) , summer holidays and winter break (2 weeks).

It is critical that we have a current record of contact information on file so we can reach you or other emergency contacts. Please also be sure to provide us with a current copy of any custody agreements.​​

Concerns & Complaints

We know that the success of your student is dependent on a strong partnership between families and the CBE. If you have a concern, it can usually be addressed at the classroom level. Your first step is to arrange to speak privately with your child’s teacher. If you feel your issue is still unresolved, please contact your principal. If you and the school are unable to find a resolution, please see our Concerns & Complaints​ page for additional information, including the process to contact your Area Director. ​​​​
