Welcome to Silver Springs School. We are pleased to be working with you and your children for the coming school year. This handbook is designed to provide important information about our school. We encourage you to review the contents so you feel confident in the daily operations and expectations we have put in place.
At Silver Springs School we strive to meet the needs of each child through collaborative work between students, families, staff and community. We will seek opportunities to ensure that you can be highly involved in your child’s learning and that communication between each child, the school and the parent is clear and supportive. We are committed to taking up the Alberta Program of Studies in a manner that makes learning meaningful and will focus on engaging students in their own learning so that they clearly recognize their own starting points, their progress and the strategies they are using which make a difference.
Parent involvement in the school is critical. Our staff reach out to parents and are available by email and phone. We are also able to support you through Virtual Meetings. We hope you talk with your children at the end of each day about their learning and connect with us as needed.
