Learning Commons at the CBE

Today’s learners cannot imagine life without the internet and supporting technology. The concept of the traditional library is changing to include technology, online tools and spaces for collaboration and exploration.

Tumble Books

All CBE Students and staff now have access to TumbleBooks Library (K-6) resources through the Calgary Public Library (CPL). This license has been paid for by the CBE as part of an agreement with the Calgary Catholic School District and the CPL for the 2017-2018 school year. Users can access the resources from school, library, home and mobile devices. This includes access to over 1,000 resources including e-books, read-alongs, graphic novels, full length chapter books, National Geographic videos, and puzzles and games based on Tumblebooks contents. Use the TumbleBooks link: (http://www.tumblebooklibrary.com/auto_login.aspx?u=calgarypl&p=sd19)

Our Library / Learning Commons - Mrs. Betiu

The Learning Commons (library) can be accessed  by all students throughout the week. Most teachers have weekly book exchange times when students may sign-out two books to take home for the week. We ask that you place a plastic bag in your child's backpack specifially to use to keep our library books clean and dry.
