Dear Kindergarten Families,
(If you are receiving this email and have decided not to send your child to SVS for the 2020-2021 school year, please call us immediately at 403-777-6660).
To help ease your child into kindergarten, we will stagger entry for the first two days of school – Tuesday, September 1st and Wednesday, September 2nd, 2020. Regular day on Thursday September 3rd and Alternate Friday times will begin on Friday, September 4th. AM Monday – Thursday, 9:10AM – 12:05 AM
PM Monday – Thursday 12:55 PM – 3:50PM.
AM/PM Kindergarten alternate on Fridays 9:10 am – 12:05 pm.
During staggered entry, buses will NOT run for kindergarten students. You will need to make arrangements for these two days for your child to come to and from school. Regular bussing will begin on Thursday, September 3rd.
When you arrive with your child, please wait with him or her in the kindergarten corral (located next to the SVS parking lot), until a teacher comes out to join you. At this time, parents and guardians will transfer care of their child to the teacher and leave. In the event that your child is upset, please trust school staff to provide the necessary support. Once the children see that they are in a safe place with caring teachers, they will settle. Your willingness to leave shows your child that you trust us to provide a safe and caring school experience.
Regular bell times and bussing will begin on Thursday September 6th – AM class 9:10 am – 12:05 pm and PM class 12:55 pm – 3:50 pm. Do not forget to check your Kindergarten calendar for Alternate Fridays.
