Principal's Message

June 27

Here is the last week at a glance for the 2020-2021 school year.  We are hoping that this has been a great year of learning and personal development for all our students. We know that this year has been a very different year than many were expecting or what has been experienced here in the past.  We truly appreciate all the great work students have accomplished and the support parents have given. Congratulations to our grade 9 class who will be moving on to high school.  In Friday’s Farewell Assembly Mr. Leavitt and Mr. Toews with farewell speeches, an amazing video of the students and teachers, and each grade 9 student was gifted with a book “The Three Questions” with personal messages from the staff.  Grade 9 students who did not receive this book can pick it up at the main office on Monday.Final Report Cards are now available to view online through myCBE PowerSchool. Paper copies are no longer distributed. If you are having difficulty viewing the report card please call the front office for assistance. Appeals day is Tuesday, June 29.  If you have questions about your child’s report card, you can contact your child’s classroom teacher between the hours of 8:30 and noon on Tuesday by calling the school or sending an email to the teacher.Monday June 28th is the last day of school for students.   Dismissal is at noon. Students should come prepared to remove all of their personal belongings.  Anything left behind will be donated to Goodwill. Infinity Garden - We recognize that some families required greater clarity following Monday’s assembly.  In Friday’s assembly we made efforts to emphasize and remind students of saa’kokoto’s (Elder Randy Bottle) encouraging words that everyone is welcome in the garden.  The short assembly included the activity of planting sage seeds which will eventually be planted in the Infinity Garden, Medicine Wheel area.  Physical Education Classes / School Swag   An online store will be open until July 11th for students to purchase a brand new gym strip for the 2021-22 school year. It is not mandatory that students wear these shirts and shorts but we recognize that many students prefer to. Please note that students will have the choice to wear their own athletic clothing in place of our SJAM clothing for P.E. class.  1.
