Traffic Safety

Ensuring our students get to school safely is everyone’s responsibility. Please be mindful of crosswalks, parking rules and speed limits when you are near our schools, especially during the morning drop-off and afternoon dismissal times.

Parking & Drop-Off

Dropping Off Students

Please do not use the school parking lot to drop off or pick up students at any time.

This creates a safety concern as staff may be arriving and leaving the school. Please help us by dropping children off in front of the school for the Before and After School Care Program. We also encourage parents to drop off students arriving for school at the bottom of the hill, this provides for a short and pleasant walk to school and avoids the traffic jams next to the school. There is permit only parking from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Monday to Friday on the south side of Sonora Ave.

Please do not:

  • drop students off in the crosswalk zone
  • drop students off in the middle of the street
  • drop students off in the staff parking lot
  • stop or park near the fire hydrant
  • disregard our safety patrols
  • do u-turns
  • drop off in bus zones

Do not let convenience come before the safety of our students.

ONE WEEK LEFT – Families must register by June 11 If you’re considering using transportation, registration must be submitted by the deadline to be included in next year’s bus routes planning.
