One way parents/guardians can make a meaningful difference for students is by participating on our school’s parent society. Parent societies are a formal group of parents, incorporated under the Societies Act for the purpose of raising funds for the school. A society is a separate legal entity from the school council. The school principal is not part of this group. More information can be found in our CBE Administrative Regulation 5001 – School Councils and School/Parent Societies.​​

Our Parent Society is Known as the Sundance Parents Association.

What is Sundance Parents Association (SPA)?
The Association’s focus is on organizing and running fun events to enhance student learning and experiences. SPA will also organize and run the Casinos and apply for grants.

Who is on School Council and SPA?
All parents and guardians with children enrolled at Sundance School are on School Council and SPA.  They are welcome to attend any Council / SPA meeting and may vote on any motion.

How much time is involved?
Our meetings are every month of the school year except December and March.  We have consecutive SPA and School Council meetings starting at 6:30pm.

Committees
In addition to our meetings, we have Committees that meet to review, organize, and plan events.  If you cannot attend our meetings, please contact our SPA Chair for more information about being on a Committee.
