Special Events at Sunnyside

​Spring is a busy time at school!   There are more opportunities to learn and play outside and we are starting to plan for next year.  
Here is a list of many of the events that we are planning from now until the end of June.  As we confirm details or add activities, we will revise this list.
May:
Monday, May 22 - Victoria Day - NO SCHOOL
Wednesday May 24 - Spring Sports Spirirt Day! Dress in your favourite jersey or what you wear to do your favourite sport!
Thursday, May 25 – Kindergarten Orientation at 6:00PM
Monday, May 29 - Non-instructional Day - NO SCHOOL
Tuesday, May 30 - grade 1 Walking Field Trip 
 
June:
Thursday, June 1 – School Council Meeting at 6:00PM
June 5 to 9 - Wheel to School week - stay tuned for messages from our EverActive club!
Thursday, June 8 – Volunteer Celebration in the morning at 10:45AM
Thursday, June 15 – Fun Lunch
Wednesday, June 21 – Indigenous People’s Day and Summer Solstice
Wednesday, June 21 – Day Trip to Camp Riveredge for Kindergarten, Grades 2, 3 and 4 (Kindergarten students attend all day)
Thursday, June 22 – Day Trip to Camp Riveredge for Grades 1, 5 and 6
Monday, June 26 – Grade 6 Social Studies Provincial Achievement Test (AM)
Tuesday, June 27 - Grade 6 Science Provincial Achievement Test (AM)
Wednesday, June 28 – Grade 6 Celebration (time and details to be determined)
Thursday, June 29 – Last Day of School (regular dismissal for kindergarten at 11:46AM and Grades 1 to 6 at 3:30PM)
