​Important Dates

We follow the CBE traditional calendar. The calendar sets common start and end days, non-instructional days and holidays. For our school’s additional non-instructional days, late entries, early dismissal days and events, see our school calendar page.​

The Calgary Board of Education continues to plan for the health measures that may be in place for the next school year. More details will be shared with families before the first day of classes.

Back to School Information

First Day of Classes

Our first day of classes is Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2021 and the school office is open to parents on Friday, Aug. 27, 2021.

Kindergarten

Kindergarten students have been divided into two groups to enable a staggered entry that allows students to come to class in a smaller group on their first day. Families have been emailed this information and it was also distributed at the Kindergarten Orientation. 

Group A Kindergarten classes begin on Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2021.

Group B Kindergarten classes begin Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021. 

Both groups of children will come to school on Friday, Sept. 3, 2021. Please contact the office beginning Friday, Aug. 27, 2021, should require further information regarding this process.

School Supplies

You do not need to purchase school supplies. They are purchased by the school and will be distributed for use in class. The following annual fee will be charged to your MyCBE account to cover the cost of these items:

  • Kindergarten   $20.00
  • Grade 1 to 6    $40.00

 Please provide the following for your student:

  • Backpack
  • Water bottle
  • Healthy snack
  • Indoor running shoes

Noon Supervision

Available daily from 12:00 PM – 12:50 PM Parents can login to My/CBE / PowerSchool to register or apply for a waiver. 

Students will be supervised while eating in the school and playing outside.  More information will be provided about lunch schedules prior to the first day of school.

​​Do You Have a MyCBE / PowerSchool Parent Account?

Parents who have not already done so, must create an account in MyCBE / PowerSchool to:

  • Pay fees or apply for a waiver

  • Register for transportation and lunch supervision

  • View student progress

To create a new account, go to www.cbe.ab.ca/mycbe and click on Create Parent Account. You will need to have your child(ren)’s CBE Student ID Number and use your email on file at the school.​

​​Fees and Waivers

School fees will be charged to families starting in October. Online fee payment is the simplest and most convenient way to pay school fees. Parents can use their online account to pay fees or apply for a waiver at: www.cbe.ab.ca/mycbe.
