Principal's Message

Year End Message

Dear TB Riley Students and Families,
We have come to the end of another school year and on behalf of all staff, I want to extend a sincere thank you to our parents/guardians for your continued support, patience, and understanding while students navigated these difficult times and back to in-person learning without restrictions. We look forward to next year where we will be back to school and back to all in-person activities including field-trips, athletics, guest speakers and assemblies in the gym.
Congratulations to the grade 9 students at TB Riley who will be moving on to high school next year. I know this amazing group of students will be successful in high school and in every endeavor they choose to pursue into the future. Thank you, Thomas B. Riley grade 9 students.
This year we will also be saying goodbye to a few staff members. TB Riley would like to say goodbye to Mr. Parker, Ms. Malenfant, Ms. Wilson-Brown, Ms. Fink, Ms. Douville, Mr. Gallant, Mr. Sogge, Mr. Chin, Ms. McIntyre, Ms. Greenwood and Ms. Gonzalez.  Also as you all know our Grade six team is moving to Brentwood School farewell to Mr. Christie, Ms. Hammer, Ms. Riel and Ms. Quinlan. To all of our staff leaving Thomas B. Riley, we wish you all the best as you head off to your new schools and new adventures in your life. I know you will impact your new communities in a positive way.
While we have to say goodbye to some teachers, we also have the opportunity to say WELCOME to others. We are so lucky enough to be welcoming our new Math/Science Teacher, Ms. Bosselle; our new Band Director, Mr. Irwin; CTF Specialist Ms. Roefs, and our new Foods Teacher, Ms. Reinson-Adam. We forward to working with you and we know you will be able to build many strong relationships with our students. We are also very lucky to be welcoming back Ms. Ladd and Ms. Trafford.
On behalf of all staff at TB Riley, I wish you and your family a wonderful, fun-filled summer vacation. We look forward with great anticipation to welcoming all of our students to a brand new school year starting September 1, 2022.
As always if you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact your child's teacher, or myself and we will do our best to provide you with an answer to your question.
Take good care, stay healthy and be safe,
Darrin Moody
