Dear Parents/Guardians,

We have been notified of two positive cases of COVID-19 on June 5th and one positive case on June 1st that have been diagnosed in individuals at Tom Baines School.

Many associated staff members have been identified as a close contact of this case and will be required to isolate themselves at home for up to 14 days. These confirmed COVID-19 cases have impacted the classrooms at Tom Baines School.

Due to operational capacity concerns, the decision has been made to move ALL grade 6, 7 & 9 students to online classes from Monday June 7 until Friday June 18 2021 This will help to ensure we are able to provide focused instructional support for all students and allow for consistent instruction in all courses. Grade 8 students will remain attending school in person.

In-person classes for grades 6, 7 & 9 are scheduled to resume for in-person students on Monday June 21st, 2021.
