School Calendar

We are a school that follows the traditional calendar. To view our school’s calendar go to our calendar page.

School Supply Lists

School supplies are provided by the Calgary Board of Education and ordered by the teachers. Supplies are distributed to students throughout the school year.

Students need to bring indoor running shoes, a healthy snack and lunch each day, and a backpack for carrying items to and from school.

Noon Supervision

Students in Grades 1-6 may participate in the noon supervision program. Bussed students (except Kindergarten) will typically need to register for noon supervision as well. For more information visit our Noon Supervision page. If your family is requiring support in providing lunch to your child please contact the school as we will again be participating in the Brown Bag Lunch program.

Assigned Teachers

Families will be e-mailed by Monday, August 30, 2021, and informed of their child's classroom teacher. Class lists are thoughtfully created and have the involvement of all University School staff as we try to develop optimal learning environments for all students. To create balanced multi-aged classrooms, staff consider many factors including student learning needs and relationships with peers and staff.

Yellow School Bus Transportation

Yellow school bus routes for the 2021-22 school year are created over the summer and based on the addresses submitted before the pre-registration deadline in June. Transportation continues to accept registrations after the deadline; however, students are added to the closest existing stop with available space. Processing times could be up to six weeks at the beginning of the school year due to volume.

More information about 2021-22 transportation service levels and proposed fees are posted on the CBE website.

Your bus stop location and time will be available in your MyCBE / PowerSchool account by mid-August.

Conditional riders can also register using MyCBE / PowerSchool. Applications will be considered after eligible riders registrations have been processed.

Learn more about transportation on the CBE website.
