Attendance

Attendance Line 403-777-6090 ext. 1.

When your child is going to be absent or late, please call the school absence line above. While we appreciate you letting the teacher know via note or email, this information does not always get to the office staff if there is a substitute teacher in. If you are planning an upcoming vacation, we also ask that you let the office as well as the classroom teacher know.

Entry and Exit Procedures

Students enter the building in the morning in their assigned door. Doors will be opened at 8:00 am for students to make their way in.  Removing wet or dirty footwear at the entrance is appreciated and helps keep our school clean. Students exit out of their regular doors and are asked to meet parents / caregivers that are picking them up in the courtyard area.  Bus students are to make their way to the bus lines promptly after dismissal.

Early Pick-ups / Late Drop-Offs

If you are picking your child up early, please send a note to the teacher and call the office in advance. We appreciate your cooperation in reducing interruptions in the classroom during instructional time as much as possible. Students who arrive at school after 8:00 AM (or after 12:20 PM if coming back from lunch) are required to come through the front doors and stop at the office for a late slip.

Attendance Expectations at the CBE

We believe there is a strong correlation between attendance and effective education. The CBE Administrative Regulation 6020 - Attendance of Students regulation applies to all of our students, and outlines the responsibilities for students, parents and school staff.

Friday, Sept 24 is a system-wide non-instructional day so there are no classes for CBE students. Have a safe long weekend and please continue to follow all public health measures #WeAreCBE https://t.co/2BCAzks4jb

RT @Indigenous_cbe: Today is fall equinox - a time when daylight & nighttime share the sky equally. Today is also Treaty 7 Day - the 144th anniversary of the signing of Treaty 7.
