The Calgary Board of Education is committed to providing students and staff with a welcoming, caring, respectful and safe learning environment that respects diversity and fosters a sense of belonging.
Our CBE Code of Conduct and CBE Progressive Discipline regulations apply to all of our students. They outline the roles and expectations for our students to promote positive and inclusive learning environments, help students to develop empathy and become good citizens both within and outside of the school community, and explain the consequences when a student’s disruptive behaviour negatively affects the learning environment.
Teachers and students will review these documents in the first weeks of school and refer to them over the course of the year. Students and families are expected to be familiar with the roles, rights and responsibilities as outlined.
