Volunteers and Visitors at Our School
Registered Volunteers: We appreciate your help and hope you will fill out the school Volunteer form so we can enjoy your talents as soon as possibly! Previously registered Volunteers will receive the yearly update and will be asked to complete, sign, and return the School Volunteer form to update our information and database.
Unregistered Volunteers: Please come to the school to begin the Volunteer Police Security Screening. One piece of photo I.D. (i.e. Driver’s license) will be required. Police Security Screening needs to be redone every five years. Volunteers will sign in and pick up their tags at the school office before entering classrooms. Thank you in advance for all your dedicated help at West Springs School. It truly makes a difference.
West Springs School is a closed campus. Any volunteers/visitors to the school must report to the main office, be expected by a staff member, and/or request permission from the school administration to be in the school.
Volunteers and their involvement are an integral part of our school. We welcome your volunteer participation contributing your time, enthusiasm, talent and commitment to support your child’s learning. If you are looking for opportunities to volunteer, please speak to your child’s teacher.
Volunteers require police security clearance prior to volunteering. This process may take up to six weeks. Please contact office staff for details. In addition, volunteers are required to complete a volunteer registration form annually. For safety and security reasons, all volunteers must wear a volunteer tag while in the school. All volunteers must comply with CBE policies, regulations and school rules.
While volunteering it is important that you respect the privacy of our students and their families. You may not take pictures of students unless directed to do so by a staff member using a CBE device.
