Learning Commons / Library

Welcome to the heart of our school! From the morning bell to the end of the day, the library learning commons is always a hub of activity. This space provides a learner-centered space, allowing our students the opportunity for collaboration, inquiry, play and imagination. Our library learning commons allows for daily meetings for our English Language Learners, as well as an area for Calgary Reads and Grandparent Reading to interact with students. Students are welcome to explore topics of interest, work with their peers and utilize print and digital resources to extend their learning.

The Wildwood School library learning commons includes a library that provides an opportunity for students, staff, and parents to check out books. There is a variety of fiction and nonfiction at reading levels from early reading to grade 6 and beyond. The library learning commons also allows for students to have a quiet place to read or even listen to a book.
