Dear Aberhart families,

Even with the challenges of a pandemic, our music students are going strong: Band and Choir are practicing virtually and Strings are in class.  The CBE recently provided guidelines to begin re-introducing playing of wind instruments and singing in person. While carefully following these guidelines, as well as those from AHS, we are slowly re-introducing both in-person singing and playing of wind instruments through tutorials, small group and chamber ensembles. Bell covers, shields for flutes, space, ventilation and proper sanitation are all being implemented according to the guidelines.

The William Aberhart Music Parents Association (WAMPA) Fundraising committee has a way to support our young performers and help prep for the upcoming holiday season, all at once! The Winter Plant sale from Growing Smiles is back with a wide selection of poinsettias, wreaths, and other perennial favourites to give us an early taste of the holidays.

This year, the fundraiser is entirely online, so click here to register, make selections, order, and pay by credit card. Please note that anyone who has the link can order, so make sure to share the link with family and friends.

Ordering: Online only. Open now, and must be received by November 20

Payment: Anyone who orders online can pay at the link using their credit card.  E-transfers also accepted at Security question: What program does this support? Password: abemusic

Pick-up: Thursday December 10, from 4 - 7 pm either in Royal Oak or at McMahon Stadium, to be confirmed closer to the date. You will be able to select a 1-hour window to enable social distancing

If you have any questions please contact Vicki at or cell: 403-803-3506.
