We follow the CBE traditional calendar. The calendar sets common start and end days, non-instructional days and holidays. For our school’s additional non-instructional days, late entries, early dismissal days and events, see our school calendar page.​

The Calgary Board of Education continues to plan for the health measures that may be in place for the next school year. More details will be shared with families before the first day of classes.

If you are unable to attend your set date or time, you may come in on the other scheduled dates or on, Friday, September 3, Photo Catch up day.

9:03 -  9:33 Period 1 (30 min)
9:38 -  10:08 Period 2 (30 min)
10:13 - 10:43 Period 3 (30 min)
10:48 - 11:18 Period 4 (30 min)
11:18 - noon Student Self-Guided Tours – maps provided (staff available to help students navigate)

Grade 11 students who were enrolled in HUB online last year have also been invited to participate in the self-guided tours.

1:00 – 3:00 Grade 11 & 12 Welcome Back (Grade 10s dismissed at noon)
1:00 – 1:20 Period 1 (20 min)
1:25 – 1:45 Period 2 (20 min)
1:50 – 2:10 Period 3 (20 min)
2:15 – 2:35 Period 4 (20 min)
2:35 – 3:00 Music, Mix & Mingle on field (cafeteria if it rains) & Self-Guided Tours for new students

"P-2 Connect"  

This is the time used for the distribution and gathering of important information that we must collect from your students during the year.  Students who have a spare for Period 2, need to go to the Learning Commons to pick up their forms, etc.

  • At this time students will receive their Student Demographic Verification Forms. Students must bring these home and bring back signed by a parent or guardian.  Please return to their P-2 Connect time or main office. Whether or not changes have been made to these forms, we must have them on file.
  • Consent for CBE Use of Student Information & Consent for Use of Student information by News Media, sent home for signature and returned. 
  • If your student ordered a yearbook last year, they will receive it at this time as well.
  • Medical Forms for students with severe allergies or other conditions: 
    Please complete and submit to your students Period 2 Connect period or to the main office on those first days of classes.

​​Do You Have a MyCBE / PowerSchool Parent Account?

Parents who have not already done so, must create an account in MyCBE / PowerSchool to:

  • Pay fees or apply for a waiver

  • Register for transportation and lunch supervision

  • View student progress

To create a new account, go to www.cbe.ab.ca/mycbe and click on Create Parent Account. You will need to have your child(ren)’s CBE Student ID Number and use your email on file at the school.​

​​Fees and Waivers

School fees will be charged to families starting in October. Online fee payment is the simplest and most convenient way to pay school fees. Parents can use their online account to pay fees or apply for a waiver at: www.cbe.ab.ca/mycbe.
