Dear Parents and Caregivers,
Welcome to a new and exciting school year at William Roper Hull School! To those families that are new to us, we send a warm welcome to you from everyone at William Roper Hull School!
I trust everyone had a magnificent summer break filled with lots of rest and opportunities to enjoy family and friends. The staff and I are looking forward to an exciting, productive, and successful school year. We have a number of new teachers and Educational Child and Youth Care Counselors that we are excited to have join us at WRHS.
Every school year is new and exciting as we establish new classroom teams and work very thoughtfully to create warm, welcoming, and inspiring learning communities. Students have been focusing on tasks that are directed towards individualized learning and will help support our students' level of positive well-being. Our main campus students are busy exploring cross-curricular learning experiences that utilize the wonderful spaces we have around campus including the greenhouse, skatepark, the shady tree spots we have all over our beautiful campus to name a few. To our STAR families at Acadia, Sherwood, and Lord Beaverbrook we look forward to welcoming you back on September 1st and supporting another successful year of growth for your child!
COVID – 19 Updates
We will continue to follow the same health protocols that we left off with in June. Last week you received an email from the Calgary Board of Education describing the health measures that will continue into this school year. Masks are mandatory for all staff and students until further notice. For more information, please visit https://insite.cbe.ab.ca/news-events/news-centre/Pages/modified-calendar-school-re-entry-2021-22.aspx .
All CBE schools will be continuing to have students and staff wear masks, physically distance, follow respiratory etiquette and hand washing/sanitizing routines. Please continue to use the daily checklist to determine if your child is ill and should stay home. At this time volunteers, parents and outside resource personnel are not permitted in schools. If your child is going to be absent from school, please call 403-251-8022 or a member of the classroom team to let us know.
