School Supply Lists
In Grades 5 & 6, CBE schools will continue to supply basic school supplies,
including paper, pencils, erasers, duo tangs, glue etc. *** Please note that should extra supplies be needed in school, parents/guardians will be notified by the teacher
In Grades 7-9,
families will need to purchase student school supplies. (supply lists will be available soon under "Resources".) Students are encouraged to bring essential supplies (not the entire
list) on the first day of school: paper, pencil crayons, pencils, and
erasers. When students are settled, HR teachers will review specific items with
each grade.
All students need to have good athletic shoes for their safety and protection for their Phys Ed class. They are not to use high soled runner, hiking shoes, 'skater' shoes, 'wheelie' shoes, slip-ons,or flip flops.
All students are encouraged to bring a spill proof, break proof water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the day. Water bottle filling dispensors are found on both levels of WPS. Students are not permitted to bring anything other than water to classrooms.
Students are to have their necessary AM or PM supplies with them and
are not to go to their lockers between classes as there is only a 2 minute
transition time between classes. Backpacks are not allowed in classrooms.
Supply lists will be found under "Resources"
Lunch Supervision
Grade 5 & 6 students must remain on school grounds for the lunch hour unless parents/guardians contact the office regarding them going home for lunch or for appointments.
Grade 7, 8 & 9 students have off campus privileges. Students may not go to Southcentre Mall or Walmart during the lunch hour. Students who have parent permission to go off campus must be mindful of the time and must be back on school grounds for the warning bell at 12:52 PM.
Students staying at school will be supervised in the school and are requested to bring a nutritious lunch daily including a variety of snacks should additional hunger strike.
**As we have students with nut allergies, we are a peanut sensitive school and encourage students to not bring foods containing nuts to school with them.
WPS has a Snack Shack that has a variety of healthy snacks and beverages available for purchase daily at lunch. Hot entrees are available for purchase on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Wednesday is cookie day in the Snack Shack. Please note that the Snack Shack operates on a cash only system. Our Snack Shack will be open Monday to Thursday effective Tuesday, September 6, 2022.

Teachers/Classes
Information
concerning assigned teachers and classrooms will be available for viewing in
PowerSchool by Wednesday August 31, 2022.
Teachers
and Administration have put a great deal of thought and time into creating class
lists. Consideration is given to making sure that students have good academic
peers with them, that class sizes are equal, and that learning needs in each
class are balanced. Due to this time and effort, class changes are highly
discouraged and will only be made in rare circumstances.

We look forward to a great year ahead!
