Attendance

Attendance Line: 403-777-6100 ext. 1

In the event of student absence, the parent/guardian is asked to call the school and leave a message. Please leave the following information:

  • name of student(s)
  • grade(s)
  • teacher(s)
  • reason for absence or lateness
  • length of absence if known

An email note is not acceptable for lates/absences. Email communication is only to be used for general correspondence or inquiries requiring a response from our school.

Attendance will be taken each morning and afternoon, and in cases where the parent/guardian has not informed the school, every effort will be made to contact the parent/guardian to verify the absence.

Please ensure the school has a complete list of all emergency contacts and authorized guardians for your child. To make changes or to ensure we have your most current contact information, please contact our office.

Punctuality is Important

Parents are asked to ensure that their children arrive at school on time and enter the school at their designated entrance. Prompt arrival for 9:10 AM is expected for all students (PM K 1:10 PM). This is not only a necessary life skill that students need to learn, but it is important for their learning and is respectful of their class environment. Students who arrive late to class often miss important work related instructions and it is disrupting of all students in the class when someone is late. Parents, please do your part to ensure our students understand that punctuality is important. In the event that a student’s late arrival persists, the school administration will contact those families and work collaboratively to develop a plan for success.

Lates

All students who are late for any reason must be signed in at the office by an adult and pick up a check-in slip. Once students are checked into the office and have their check-in slip, we ask that they walk by themselves to their classroom.

Student Sign-out

Extended Absences
