Cross Country Running – Gr 1-6

Be on the look out for cross country running forms coming home in the fall.  All students in Grade 1-6 are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Intramurals

We will once again be offering an Intramural Sports lunch hour program for students in grades one to six.  Intramural Sports will take place during the months of November, February and April.  The sport activity will vary from month to month.

Intramural Sports will take place during lunch recess (12:15-1:00 pm) in the school gym.  Two grades per lunch hour will have Intramural Sports.  Dates for the fall will follow in September.

If your child walks home for lunch, they are welcome to bring a bag lunch to school on their designated intramural days.  Supervision will be provided.

If your child would like to participate, please complete the permission letter which will be sent home prior to intramurals commencing.    The permission form will cover their attendance at all sessions throughout the school year. If they choose to opt out of any of the sessions, they will need to let their teacher know and we will update our lists for that particular activity.  For your information, the activities will be:

Floor Hockey

Mission Impossible (gymnastics obstacle course)

Badminton/Dodgeball

School Wide Walks

Student Soccer Day

If you have any questions about the Intramural program, please direct them to your child’s teacher and he/she can connect you with a member of our committee.
