First Day of Classes

Our first day of classes is Thursday. Sept. 1, 2022 and the school office is open to parents on Monday, Aug. 29, 2022.

Take a virtual walk with us around some of the main areas of the school to give you a sense of what things look like at Woodman.

School Start & End Times

The main school doors will open to students at 8:55 am; only students who are participating in a school-sanctioned club, tutorial, band rehearsal or athletic practice will be permitted to enter the school earlier.

The start-of-day times remain the same as 2021-2022, with a warning bell at 9:05 and a start time of 9:08. School end times for Monday-Thursday are 3:34 pm and Friday,1:14 pm.

See the 2022-2023 bell schedule on our Contact Us page.

School Supply Lists

By July 1, this section will include a link to suggested, optional student supply lists that will be helpful to reference in preparation for the return to classes.  It is not required that students come to school on the first day with all of these items.  Families are encouraged to recycle materials from previous years.  Those who are unable to bring their own suggested supplies will be provided them by the school, while following health protocols.  Every attempt is being made to reduce the sharing of materials. Please ensure that personal supplies are well labelled with the student name and grade.

Yellow School Bus Transportation

Yellow school bus routes for the 2022-23 school year are created over the summer and based on the addresses submitted before the pre-registration deadline in June. Transportation continues to accept registrations after the deadline; however, students are added to the closest existing stop with available space. Processing times could be up to six weeks at the beginning of the school year due to volume.

More information about 2022-23 transportation service levels and proposed fees are posted on the CBE website.

Your bus stop location and time will be available in your MyCBE account by mid-August.

Conditional riders can also register using MyCBE. Applications will be considered after eligible riders registrations have been processed.

Learn more about transportation on the CBE website.
