Year End Message

Dear William Taylor Learning Centre Families,

On behalf of the staff at William Taylor Learning Centre, I would like to thank all of our students and their families for an incredible year.  Our students have shown tremendous growth over the past school year.  I am proud of our school community and they ways in which each of us worked towards the common goal of making William Taylor Learning Centre a place to belong.

Thank you so much to all of our families that attended the Year-End celebration on Friday.  It was such a special opportunity to gather again in-person to recognize our students’ accomplishments.  As always, my favorite part of the day is celebrating the students who have worked hard to transition on to our satellite programs.  Congratulations, again to those students.  You made us proud!

At our Year-End Celebration, we share a sneak peek at our exciting new logo.  After many months of student engagement and voice- we are officially transitioning to the WTLC Wolves next year.  CBE Elder Hal Eagletail shares that in Tsuut’ina perspective, the wolf symbolizes family and loyalty, which I believe is very fitting for our school community.

As such, I am pleased to welcome to the WTLC family, Jennifer Chapman, Assistant Principal.  Besides having a beautiful name, Jennifer bring many years of experience as an Assistant Principal and CBE Education Strategist to our team.  Jennifer is looking forward to working with all of our staff, students and families next year.

Also, please join me in congratulating Cass Lygo who will be the Wood's Homes Team Laeder next year. We are greateful that Cass has taken on this formal leadership role.

Your child’s report card is now available in PowerSchool. Please contact the main office if you need support accessing the report card.

We hope that all of you enjoy a safe and relaxing summer.  We look forward to seeing you on our first day of school Monday, August 15th.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Edmondson-Neily

Principal
